Read My Glitz

Check this weirdness out:

That's right, lip foil... for your lips. To wear outside of the house, not on Halloween. This is a company called Glitzystick. I have a hard enough time putting on liquid foundation so something like this looks silly to me. And uncomfortable AND has me reaching for my chappy out of compulsion.

Granted, the red one doesn't look AS bad and wearing them out at the club might be fun but really.. I'm too old for this and really not that interested. Like I said, I have enough trouble putting on liquid foundation. I do. I tried this morning and ended up washing my whole face again and putting my powdery stuff on instead. Nice and safe.

What do you think? Could you see yourself using this product? I promise, I won't judge.

Unlike

This is wrong:

Pepto Pink itches my neck

This is wrong:

Dirty bird feathers and high heel suede hiking boots. Good Ideas. ...er
I love fashion. It makes no sense to me. I'd like to find a way that I can still have the comfort of summer dresses, but in the winter. I hate pants.

Dress for the Day

If you know me, you know I love dresses. More than any other thing a woman can buy to wear. My make-up is hardly there, my hair.. well... it's red right now. Shoes, I get classic things, one in black and one in brown and purses. Well... I've been using the SAME Burberry purse for the last... 6 years. I love the thing because it goes with black and brown.

I don't focus much on what I do with myself, I am who I am BUT I do buy dresses. Lots and lots of dresses. With my new red hair I had to hit the stores hard and find things that matched and complemented my green eye, ginger look. I bought 5 in the last 5 days.

Dresses are great because all you need to worry about is picking a dress. I don't have to match tops to bottoms or bottoms to tops. I just throw on a dress, put on some shoes and go. It's easy and always looks good PLUS it's as if you don't have any bottoms on at all.

My favorite dress at the moment for everyday wear is this cute little black baby doll sun dress from Urban Outfitters. I wore it almost everyday while in Maui because it was easy, didn't wrinkle and always looked good.

Yesterday, Cup of Jo had a quick little post about work dresses and I have to admit, I want them all. I don't need them. I need anymore dresses but I want them.

Check out the post and tell me what you think.

My Precious

Would you wear this ring? The Inner Message Ring?

A few years ago a Korean singer wrote a song about the sunburn mark that he found on his finger after he broke up with his girlfriend and removed a ring he had been wearing for a long time.

This is the story that inspired him to make “Inner message ring”, a ring with hidden letters on the inside. When you wear this ring, after a while, the message will imprint on the wearer’s finger. The two messages here are “marry me” and “always”.

Becoming Ginger

Last night, I took the plung... I said farwell to summer and my lovely blonde highlights (I loved it this time, my stylist did such a good job) and hello to RED. Fire Engine RED.

what was I thinking!!

I haven't taken a decent picture of myself  but I can tell you exactly the color it turned out to be:

It's red. And I cut it so it's about this length too.

OK, that one picture, the one of me... it looks really red. haha. Ohmy!

This is a big date week as well so I will put the boys to the test! If they don't like me because I now have ginger hair then I don't like them either!

XOX

PS: Apparently it makes my eyes look REALLY green. OoOooOo...

Frock

This Alexander McQueen dress is stunning.
It's on exhibit along with many others at the Met Museum in New York.
Yet another reason I'd love to go to New York soon.

Reason #35134 Why I Need Paris

Je me cache derrière mon col

I don't know if you remember my post about some South Park PJ's that I wanted? Well, they were worn by Katy Perry (did I spell that right? I'm not checking it out, I'm leaving that spelling as is) in some Twitter picture and I've been obsessed with them since. Not obsessed with Katy Perry at all but her PJ's- yes.

So, I went back onto JC/DC to try and find them again (as with most things fashionable, they are gone before your know it) and came up with nothing...

but I did find this sassy little trench. Which OF COURSE doesn't come in my size... Boooo...

I can still covet it. Just a little and remember that I don't need it. I have two wonderful little trench coats already for spring and they will do me just fine.

I also love this little dress and I need a little dress (especially one with a big bad wolf on it) as much as I need another hole in my head. True Story. Nice to see a super pale model though. Yay alabaster skin!

Hair-spiration

I woke up looking this good.

I want this hair. It's beautiful... I usually don't write about hair, fashion, make-up and all that fussy girly stuff. I like it, I read about it and all that wonderful stuff but to blog about it. It's just not my thing. There is so much really good stuff out there that to join the swarm would be diffcult. Plus, I like talking about other stuff too.

Anyway, back to hair. This hair, it's so sexy and soft looking. I want it. On my head. Now. There is a whole spread on Fashionising with hair I love. It's Bardot with a modern flair. Less spray, more hair. Touchable.

I think I need to get another set of hot rollers, I've been using them on my hair because I think they are better for it then my hotter-than-the-sun culring iron. But, due to the length of my hair, I find I could benefit from using more rollers.

I always ask girls how they do thier hair when I see this look and they often tell me that they just use thier curling iron without clipping the hair into it. Just wrapping the section around... I've tried this and I can't get anywhere with it. I think it's becasue my hair is naturally straight and fine so it just doesn't hold curl well. *sigh

Regardless, I want that hair.

I Want South Park Pajamas Too

I'm a little behind everyone else, I'm at least the first to admit THAT, but I came across this image of Katy Perry (did I spell that right?) in some of the cutest pajamas ever:

“celebrating all the love from the #1′s around the world in my new South Park pj’s on the bus! (whilst being photo bombed)” -Katy Perry via Twitter

Who doesn't want a pair of those? Super cute, pretty sexy in a South Park pajama kind of way and they look ultra comfy. The only thing that would make them better is if they included footed bottoms. You know the kind, the ones that cover the whole foot making slippers and socks obsolete for bed time.

The pajama set was created by fashion designer Jean-Charles de Castelbajac for his chain of JC/DC stores. She apparently purchased them from the Paris boutique Colette  which aside from the loud music that almost made me pee my pants this morning SCARY! - it's a super cute site with great lines and items. It is apparent to me that I am ready to visit Paris. That is whole other post though...

Anywhoo....

I Want.
